WEEK TEN: Mysteries


Mystery for Writing for comics

“Drowning in love.”
When Erin Matsuda’s teacher is murdered in a bathroom stall at the local café, Erin is determined to solve the case. Now if only the evidence would tell her what’s going on.

Summary:
·      Erin Matsuda and her two best friends are at a Café just hanging out before a movie starts.
·      They are briefly joined by one of their teachers who talks with them briefly before using the ret room accidently leaving her handbag on their table.
·      They wait for the teacher to return watching as 3 others use the restroom.
o   The 3 suspects.
·      20 minutes later they can’t wait any longer and the three discover the body of the teacher.
·      The cops arrive with Erin’s father, concerned over his daughter’s involvement.
·       She listens as they question the suspects. The last person to enter the bathroom was the ultimate suspect as his sleeves are wet. As they are about to be taken away, Erin declares that they have the wrong person and points to the second person to enter the rest room.
Solution:
·      A watch that’s water damaged to show the time of death.
·      Murderer tries to say that its been stopped for a while but Erin points out he gave the time to someone before going to the bathroom, there for his watch was working then but isn’t now.
o   Couldn’t have washed his hands, would have taken off watch.
Red herring:
·      The wet sleeves.

WEEK NINE: Break comic

So over spring break, I participated in the cartoon workshop. It was a great experience as I was able to learn quite a few things from both visiting artist.
